🌊🧽 The Selladoor Venues team ventured over to the gorgeous Birmingham Hippodrome last night for the press night of, THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL!
As we stepped into the venue we felt like we’d been transported underwater with some wonderful SpongeBob theming, and we cannot wait to transform the New Theatre into Bikini Bottom later this year.
The show follows the characters you know and love from the hit television series who discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their home. Will they be able to save the fate of Bikini Bottom?
Packed full of catchy songs by an array of incredible artists (John Legend, Cyndi Lauper, Sara Bareilles and more), wonderful dances, and all the Spongebob fun you’d expect it’s a laugh-out-loud show you ‘shore’ don’t want to miss!
The super talented cast includes DIVINA DE CAMPO who you may know from Ru Paul’s Drag Race, Celeb’s Go Dating’s TOM READ WILSON, HANNAH LOWTHER who you may recognize from TikTok, and more. Did you know the wonderful IRFAN DAMANI who plays Patrick Star is actually from Peterborough?! Last night the role of Squidward was played by Gareth Gates who was exceptional, but we cannot wait to see what Tom Read Wilson brings to the role as he joins us in Peterborough this Summer.
