Key Seeds is an artist development programme for creatives based in the East of England who are making work in theatre, dance, spoken word or circus.
We are looking for:
• Artists/companies who want to develop existing work between Autumn 2024 and May 2025.
• Ideally those who have previously made work professionally although we welcome applications from early or mid career artists/companies.
• Work that speaks to the multiculturality of Peterborough and the spirit of the community. We want to hear from artists who have something to say and want to make vibrant, engaging and accessible work for diverse audiences.
What we offer:
• A seed commission between £1500 and £2500 to go towards your development/production budget for the sharing.
• Free rehearsal space at the Key Theatre.
• Mentoring and producing support.
• Access Support.
• Dramaturgical and developmental support for your idea.
• Work in progress programming at the Key Theatre in May 2025.
• Support with inviting industry professionals to see your work.
Timeline:
• July – August 2024 – Applications open.
• September 2024 – Interviews.
• November – February – support with project planning.
• March – May – Development & Rehearsals.
• May 2025 Work-in-progress sharing at the Key Theatre.
• May – September – Support on next steps for your project.

What happens next:
Our creative team will review your submission and if your application is successful at this stage you will be invited to an informal 30 minute interview. Following that we will make our final selection.

Monday 9th September 2024.
