🤔 Have you ever realised just how much work goes on behind the scenes to make a musical happen? Well, we are here to tell you!
This month we welcomed Mamma Mia! to the New Theatre stage, and saw nearly 7k people take to their seats to enjoy the show. But, as well as our fantastic front-of-house team there was also a brilliant team backstage who made the magic of theatre happen once again.
It takes a hard-working, highly skilled, and dedicated team to bring Greece to Peterborough – and forgive us for being bias, but we think our technical team are the best of the best!
Here’s some figures to put their hard work into perspective…
Per show there were:
3 x stage crew (in costume)
3 x followspot operators
6 x dressers
2 x laundry staff
It took 36 people, 26 hours and 8 artic lorries to put the show in the venue and another 10 hours to take it back out again. Wow!
Thank you to our wonderful team, we are so proud of you👏
