BRB2: Carlos Acosta’s Classical Selection
Some of the very best young ballet graduates from around the world get their moment in the spotlight in this programme which includes sparkling classical highlights from Frederick Ashton’s Rhapsody, created in 1981 for Mikhail Baryshnikov and Lesley Collier, Carlos’s own temperature-raising Carmen, Bournonville’s delightful La Sylphide, Petipa’s explosive Diana and Actaeon pas de deux, and Carlos’s own new interpretation of Fokine’s The Dying Swan, featuring two dancers.
BRB2 is a brand-new company for dancers fresh from ballet schools around the world as they transition into permanent jobs with BRB and other companies around the world. For this inaugural tour, the first five members of the company are joined by other talented young dancers from BRB’s ranks.
